What a result for ‘Northern Lights’, Kier Northern’s team in the 9th York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge held on the River Ouse, York on Sunday 10 July.
The Club will hold its annual Challenge on the Ouse on Sunday 10th July 2011. Racing starts at 10.00 am. This will be the ninth occasion the York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge has been held. This is the Club’s major fund raising effort each year and the total raised for charity by the eight challenges [...]
Freddie Robinson, 14, from Oulston had persuaded his elder brother Charlie to join him on a fund raising bike ride “beach to beach” from Morecambe to Scarborough totalling over 130 miles.
We said we’d never do it again….but here we are – how we forget the pain of running those 26.2 miles! After a year off, Tim and I have decided to once again run the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 22nd May – we hope this year that the sun doesn’t shine too brightly and the water supply is not stolen the night before!
An evening of choral and instrumental music from Ampleforth Singers. Wine and nibbles in the interval. Admission free but a collection will include a donation to YAMND.
This event is being organised by our colleagues at MNDA ( Motor Neurone Disease Assn ) .This is a prestigious event which will be hosted by a well known personality.
