YAMND Coffee morning – Sat 18th September

York and District Against Motor Neurone Disease (YAMND) are holding a coffee morning at Heworth Church Hall on Saturday 18th September from 10am to 12noon. Call in for a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and browse through the excellent selection of reasonably priced second hand books. There will also be a range of cakes, buns and biscuits available for you to take home and enjoy.

YAMND, an independent charity, wholly funded by generous donations and fundraising events, are currently supporting twenty people in the York area diagnosed with motor neurone disease. The disease currently has no known cure, and the charity employs nursing staff to ensure that the lives of those diagnosed with the disease are made as comfortable as possible, and that relatives receive as much support as possible.

If you are interesting in finding out more about YAMND go to www.yamnd.co.uk or call Claire Halstead (Secretary) on 07939 030701.
